Hi All,
Guess what? I’ve actually started looking at the Payout/Winners data.
The numbers below are before I’ve entered the data Payouts was not able to enter and after I separated the recognized 101s, Demos, or Playtests into a separate list. I did enter the two event sheets that where handed to me personally, and the one faxed to me, those events finished after Payouts had shut down. These are the ones I expect to be entering.
The Payouts data we have has about 170 events with unaccounted for sheets that could have winners data, and only 7 are for Monday. This means that either Payouts didn’t get them or more likely didn’t get them until too close to their closing on Monday. That’s potentially 170 entries that I have to enter before I can generate the Winners List. I’m not happy.
I should only be seeing a few Monday sheets and an occasional Sunday sheet still to be entered. In other words, if that number had been 17 sheets, I wouldn’t be complaining.
Unless the event *Ends* after 7pm on Sunday, Payouts should have the paperwork before they close at 8pm Sunday night. This should also be true of Saturday night. Friday paperwork should be turned in Saturday Morning after 8am. And try to get the remaining paperwork in as soon as possible on Monday. In the case of “Events” with no winners, the “*Ends* after 7pm” should become “Starts before 8pm”.
And, I’m not talking just sheets that need to payout, I’m talking every event you have a sheet for. That 170 sheet total is only accounting for Tournaments, Sponsored and Events presumed to have Winners. There are a number of Demos, 101s, Playtests and Events with no winners that are not entered either. All of which I have to enter at some point.
Keep this in mind, every minute I spend entering data after the con is time I can’t spend working on our website. And I know some of you have put in requests for things.
Tanya
