[Deptheads] Art for the con book?

[Strategicon Department Heads]

 Thumbs up to revisit this. I have suggested art for con book for years (cartoons, etc) but never pushed it as other things pushed this to back of the line.I also talked to Jim Sandoval about doing a contest for a one-page solo rpg adventure which could be in the conbook. Basically different things in the conbook that got people to actually go thru all of it. Everyone wins when the conbook is cover to back full of advertising, info, maps, schedules, art, games, puzzles, etc.. That was one of the cool things about dragon magazine in the 80s was the cartoons and  the comic strips---The Adventures of Finieous Fingers, , knights of dinner table, Snarfquest, What's New with Phil & Dixie, etc.
Keep it simple at first and grow from there. The conbook covers tied in and if that were a comic strip inside for example it would develop a fandom. I am for anything that spices up what we have without changing it. Thumbs up

I kind of like the idea of using this style of art to create icons for each department. We can start integrating them into the signage and we can use them for some expanded branding for pins, shirts, etc.

Personally, I love it. I would even love to see it, and maybe some other unique game related graphics, at the family area for kids (and adults) to color. Way more fun than normal coloring pages, and game related. I'd color it and take it home, frame it, and put it on my wall.
