[Deptheads] Hotel given official notice -- Gamex is officially cancelled

I'm assuming you are putting together an announcement with a few more
details, as in "hey we're having a virtual event", before you post? People
are chomping at the bit for news, lol. I think we really need to start
promoting the virtual part of it. I did let my entire demo team know (that
would be SJG, Renegade, AEG, etc etc etc) on our private group this
morning. I'm asking them for feedback on what kind of events they'd feel
comfortable doing on a platform like Zoom. We for sure will have some Steve
Jackson play-alongs (even if it's just Deadly Doodles), probably also some
GURPS games too - along with company prize support. As soon as you make the
announcement, James will talk to his CMON Legion peeps to see what can be
done. I also came up with a way to do play to wins (just a few)...of course
I'll have to mail the prizes out, so we don't want to do too many...but it
would be a live Facebook video of a how to play and watchers would get
entered, commenters would get extra entries, etc. I have someone awesome in
mind to ask to do this for us. And Anje and I are still working on how to
do the charity event thing, while also supporting FLGS and vendors. But...I
really think we need to get the word out soon. I told my peeps to not say
anything until the announcement is made on the site and FB page.
