[Deptheads] Waitlist/Alternate players

Tanya,
I'm sitting here next to a (heretofore unnamed) belligerent RPG GM who set
his prereg on his submission to 6 (max players, AND max prereg). That
should be the same on all the GURPS games (7 of them total). But only
3slots are being able to prereg. This doesn't make sense, because players
need to be signed up. They need to be sent their pregen characters and
such. Also, he also thinks Alts should be set to at least 3, because people
might forget or have things come up and then they'll be short players. This
is the (loud) feedback I am getting from a GM and a couple wannabe
players.).
Because it's a virtual con, people need to sign up online. Are we keeping
all the prereg limited to half of the players, and expecting seats to get
filled last minute? And then do the alts/waitlist move up to the prereg
slots?
