[Deptheads] Supporting Vendors

 GreetingsWeird not being in california thursday morning and already at con 24 hours by friday morning.This convention was a part of my life. Daily talking to people in industry, vendors, printing companies, and attendees/gms.Miss you guys
That said.......I love the love for our vendors by you guys. You guys rock.The past 5 years over 227 (new vendors  many one-timer,s and some back after several years) A handful of these new ones the past 5 years joined our core of reg vendors that do 1,2, or all 3 shows each year.
The ones I put virtual are the Vendors that have been with us on the rollercoaster ride thru ups and downs.Some since sheratan, Raddison, and westin days.
Please show the love to as many as each can. We cannot show too much appreciation to our supporting vendors.Even just mentioning them like a commercial "this round of ticket to ride gives a shout out to craxy bobs" or "welcome to X game...shout out to Critical hit games and cobblestone games. Peep them on vendor channel".
Been talking with several vendors all morning. reaching by phone personally to pep talk them and let them know they aren't forgotten.3 called me to say thanks and peep the discord and spread the word on their facebook and twitter about our virtual con.This has to engage people and tie them over til Orccon 2021. Thumbs up for work done and upcoming running events and keeping this train going.

I’m not up for outright adoption. Not good at talking about vendors. Talking to them I do almost every con. :)
I can post pictures of our family of Squid.I don’t see Party Penguins listed on Discord. We have a few penguins we could post.And I think I can find an item or two of Crazy Bob’s.
And, I could pull pictures from our photo albums for some of the others as time permits.
My concern is that only six vendors have channels. If we swamp the vendors channel with pictures, the links might get missed.
I’m all for suggestions as visuals will certainly help. And as long as I’m not fixing problems on the website I can  look through the photo albums. I need to label a lot of the pictures anyway.

Rob posted the list of our vendors, and I saw some familiar and wonderful names there. I know they're all having a tough time right now, so I was wondering: Can we brainstorm some ways to help them? For instance, I have some of Cantrip Candles awesome candles here, and I was thinking of posting some artful pictures of them during con while they're in use, hopefully channeling folks toward their store. (I simply cannot let them go out of business--they're my fave part of the vendor hall!) 
I was thinking... maybe each department head might "adopt" a vendor for the con and help promote them over the weekend? Just talk about them, post fun pictures and memories, and keep them in people's minds? That way we can hopefully help keep them going until we can all be in meat space together again.
