run. A volunteer badge was up to the supervisor to award but someone wanting to GM games would have an idea of how much they would need to do in order to earn a badge. In the end it is up to the supervisor. The website could simply state "if you want to earn a badge by gming or volunteering contact that supervisor for details". But it is easier if people see bare minimum requirements and can submit events and then be contacted by the supervisor during the approval process if the supervisor feels this person needs to do more to earn their badge.
