True on the space. Video games obviously need more than time and space, so wouldn’t likely be good candidates for hosting elsewhere. Of course, if it’s an event where each player has to bring their own game device, it might be possible. The future is unknown. :)

Tanya

On Jul 1, 2019, at 3:15 PM, Strategicon Department Heads <deptheads@strategicon.net> wrote:

Message From: Jason DuVall nekojin@gmail.com

As usual, Video Gaming is the "odd man out" as none of our events can reasonably move to other locations, and we don't have much room for other departments' events.

On Mon, Jul 1, 2019 at 2:50 PM Strategicon Department Heads <deptheads@strategicon.net> wrote:

Message From: Tanya Aldrich taldrich@strategicon.net
So, with the addition of multiple event types and hosting departments, a thought crossed my mind. At the moment, each department only sees the events they can edit and approve.

I could add a display all on the un-approved events page. Sometime around the last three weeks before the con, depending on when you think the bulk of your events have been submitted, if there is an event that was denied due to Time Conflict that you have space for, you could suggest hosting it. Obviously, the GM has to approve the move, but if time and space are the only issue, it can’t hurt to offer.

What do you think?

Not promising this for Gateway.
