In general if a person is working extra time and would qualify for a room (or even if it's close), we can reimburse parking instead at the non-valet convention rate (i.e. about $10 a day). This is fairly flexible, but we try to limit it to senior volunteers etc.<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Eric</div><div class=""><br class=""><div><br class=""><blockquote type="cite" class=""><div class="">On Aug 3, 2019, at 7:48 AM, Strategicon Department Heads <<a href="mailto:deptheads@strategicon.net" class="">deptheads@strategicon.net</a>> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><div class="">Message From: Jon Merriex <a href="mailto:jmerriex@yahoo.com" class="">jmerriex@yahoo.com</a><br class=""><div class=""><div dir="auto" class="">The talking heads can give more clarity on specific budget but basically my understanding is each area has a budget for such things. This impacts how many rooms you get. For instance, if you're running 8 parking reimbursement then you're losing a room.<br class=""><br class=""></div>

<pre class="blue">Message From: Karla Freeman <a href="mailto:thesquirrelwrangler@gmail.com" class="">thesquirrelwrangler@gmail.com</a><br class=""></pre><div dir="ltr" class=""><div class="">I had a regular volunteer who works her full 8+ hours in one department ask me if there was a way to do more to get a parking reimbursement. I told her I would ask, as I don't know all the ins and outs. My first instinct was to say "no" as I've never personally known anyone to get a parking reimbursement even though I do see it on the reimbursement form. <br class=""></div><div class="">This also made me think that I need some guidance. Basically a handbook with what I can or cannot offer volunteers, and I'm also collecting the "volunteer duty" descriptions from each department as I receive them. Anyway, for right now I just need to answer this particular person's question. If someone needs to message me privately and ask "who" this is, I can answer that. (Don't want to embarrass them, even though it's not someone I personally know well, I'm pretty sure many of you do know them)<br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks,</div><div class="">Karla<br class=""></div></div>
