My personal preference would be that GMs can edit their event up to the point when I approve it. After that, I should be the only one editing events. Having them come in and tinker once I've approved their event is a problem, from my viewpoint. Before I've approved it, I am okay with them making some edits, but I would prefer that I receive a notification that they did so, with a summary of changes.

Best,

Tara

On Mon, Jul 27, 2020 at 3:17 PM Strategicon Department Heads <deptheads@strategicon.net> wrote:

Message From: Tanya Aldrich taldrich@strategicon.net
Hi All,

While I’m not certain we’re going to have time to add GM event editing for Gateway, we still need to hammer out a few details.

Do we only want GM editing permitted until the event is approved?
If yes, you can ignore the rest of the questions.

If we want a GM to be able to edit after approval, which fields should they be allowed to edit?

I’m thinking of adding a “Approved Edited” status to distinguish these from other events. Keeping both old and new data is not something I want to have to contemplate. This also means that we may not have an effective means of highlighting what was changed.

That leaves the question, does the event get pulled from the Event List until changes are approved, or does it list with the changes?

Tanya

P.S. Posting this to Discord too.
