Happy New Year from Strategicon Conventions!

Take a deep breath as you turn over a new leaf, lay aside mundane concerns and focus on what really matters: which games you’ll be playing at Orccon <http://www.strategicon.net/>, February 12-15 at the Los Angeles Hilton Airport.

The deadline to register your game is this Friday, January 22. Pre-convention game sign-up begins at noon the following day.

Hotel Update

Pre-registration is at an all-time high and few, if any, hotel rooms remain in our second block. We are working on adding a third block.

What’s Gnu at Orccon?

Orccon Special Guests will include ZombieSmith founder Joshua Qualtieri, Trekking the National Parks creator Charlie Bink, 7th Sea’s John Wick and RPG designer Ben Woerner.

We are delighted to be hosting a Catan National Championship (CNC) Qualifier. Qualifying rounds will be held on Friday and Saturday for the Sunday Finals. The winner will go to the Catan National Championship at Gen Con in August. There will be an entry fee of $10 per qualifier.

We also have the honor of presenting the Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League Season 3 Epic, “Blood Above, Blood Below”. More than one hundred adventurers have already signed up for this exciting Convention-only mega-event! To join the fight, sign up at Warhorn.net <https://warhorn.net/events/orccon-2016>.

Orccon will also see the return of the Power Grid World Tour, Paint and Take miniature painting tables, live-action roleplaying, prime shopping at our Dealer Room and Flea Market (now back on the main floor!), Circus Maximus, live entertainment and more X-Wing than you can fire a KX9 laser cannon at. We hope to see you there!
