In just a few weeks (Aug 30 – Sep 2) the last Strategicon convention of the year takes place at the Hilton, Los Angeles Airport! Gateway 2019 features a wide variety of games regardless of the flavor that you prefer. Here are just a few of the many many offerings at this years Gateway:
 
There is new and exciting stuff in all FOUR of our roleplaying departments here is one of those new thing. Pathfinder has introduced the Second Edition! It’s easier to learn, faster to play, and endlessly customizable. We'll be running Pathfinder Second Edition adventures all weekend, including 1-hour demo games for anyone who wants to walk up and play in Los Angeles Ballroom A Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
 
Miniatures has started a new MONDAY MORNING Strategicon tradition! Large scale Formula De at 10 am! Get you name immortalized on the Winners Plaque for years to come! Also in miniatures we will have painting classes taught by professional painters Saturday and Sunday night, all materials provided. These classes are start to finish so they walk you through every step of the process
 
The Video game department has gone all out with their Smash Brothers Tournaments! Come on by at Noon on Sunday for the SSB High Variable tournament, where ALL of the random drops, stage hazards, and random weird stuff are in play! And if that's just a little TOO crazy for you, we still have the other SSB tournaments on both Saturday and Sunday, at noon and 6 pm. 

The year is ending with a bang in Board games. There is over $100 in Dealer Dollars up for grabs Monday morning in the Splendor MEGA Tournament. And the Power Grid World Tour is finishing its sixth year with trips to Italy, France, and Quebec. Finally, Catan, Scythe, 7 Wonders, Stone Age and Lords of Waterdeep will all be Big Tournaments.
