Can you believe it's been 3 years since Strategicon hosted a live Gamex? We've missed everyone! So for the first time since 2019 we will convene at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton over this coming Memorial Day weekend and enjoy the hobby we know and love once again.

Well, we have got a deal for you! Strategicon is looking for GMs to run games, and here is the best part, you get to pick the games! Gamex 2022 needs games! If you'd like to run a game please sign up to do so at www.strategicon.net/?run_event. We can only run the games we have volunteers to run! The submission deadline for events is Friday May 6th.

On top of more games, we need volunteers for all sorts of things. Run games, help with Board Game HQ, work the registration desk, whatever — we need people to make a live convention happen. Here is some of what you can look forward to at Gamex 2022!

We're hosting a Settlers of Catan qualifier for the national Settlers of Catan championship. This will be second and final time for 2022.

Warhammer 40K returns to Gamex with several sponsored Kill Team events over the course of the weekend.

Join [blue/red] team to fight for honor, glory and recreation with foam darts and bats against the horrible [red/blue] team at Foam Fortress at [2/4] PM on Saturday! This is a high-action foam combat homage to a first-person shooter classic.

The Power Grid World Tour returns! As this is the first live Gamex in three years, we're planning a whirlwind tour of some more unusual locales.

For those that like to shop we have over 40 vendors in our dealer room. Many old favorites along with some fresh faces. A wide variety of games and game-related paraphernalia for every type of gamer. We also have the Strategicon Flea Market and the Strategicon Game Auction. Here you can find that missing gem for your collection or possibly clear your closet of your surplus games.

Stay with us at the LAX Hilton! We still have some rooms available for every night of the show. Reservations must be made by May 13th to get the convention rate.

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic we request that if at all possible attendees be vaccinated, and that includes children 5 to 11 this show. The state of California and Los Angeles county has dropped the mask mandate and Strategicon has followed suit..
