Strategicon presents our last show for 2022 — Gateway 2022 at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton over Labor Day weekend (Sep 2 - Sep 5). Preregistration for the show and events ends by end of day Monday August 29th, so don't miss out!

We still need volunteers for all sorts of things. Run games, help with the family area, work the registration desk, whatever — we need people to make a live convention happen. If interested in getting in for free in exchange for 8 hours works please sign up at www.strategicon.net/?volunteer.

Gateway 2022's schedule is packed. So many events that we cannot possibly list them all here. Highlights include:

Special guest jim pinto playtesting Butcher Blade Six, a game based on 5th Edition D&D. It's a one-of-a-kind game/sourcebook/adventure involving pre-made characters.  

The legend responsible for some of your favorite stories and art for MtG, Battletech, Shadowrun, and many more is going to be here for Gateway! Who? Why it's none other than Jeff Laubenstein!.

Not enough? You'll also be able to talk with Douglas Sun, write of the first two volumes of the Dune Chronicles! 
Come hang out! 16th floor on Friday at 7pm and you can hear directly from all three of them!

Speaking of Battletech, do we have Battletech. Both Classic and Alpha Strike, including the Last Stand of the Black Watch, with tournaments for each.

Happy Jacks returns!. Kimi Hughes, Christopher Grey and Jason Mills are not only running games, but playtesting some new stuff. Come see what they have to offer.

The Strategicon Football League (SFL) returns for its 13th season! The SFL Live Draft is Saturday at 3 pm. Experience old-school fantasy football using the original rules — points are awarded only for actually scoring.

Jonathan Albin is bringing NycosRPG, a nearly indescribable system delivers a different way to play. Jonathan is also bringing back his cloak and dagger style gaming with Parallels.

Along with some playtests we have other great tournaments returning. Along with our long running GURPS Aspire weekend tournament, the hard core Dungeons and Dragons PvP tournament by David Arvizu returns with a $50 payout for the winner. 

If you love old school or modern D&D, we have everything from 1e to Dungeon Crawl Classics to several 5e hacks for a twist. Want something different? Try the vast variety of unique games like Nycos RPG, Starscape PbtA, Savage Worlds Deadlands Noir, Dark Champions, or the always fun Kids on Bikes!

In miniatures we have ODGW's "Historical" Zombie game Mein Zombie presented by the creator Michael Moran. We also have our Painting Contest, plus tons of GW, including demos of the Brand new GW Horus Heresy game, Blood Bowl, Kill Team Demos and Tournament, and Apocalypse 40K.

Video Gaming has Smash Bros and Starcraft 2 tournaments, plus an all-new MultiVersus for a few tournaments as well.

We have hundreds of games of all genres -- too many to list here. In addition to the above, we also have Magic: the Gathering, Werewolf, Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Pathfinder, over 100 different board games, and a whole lot more.

For those that like to shop we have over 40 vendors in our dealer room. Many old favorites along with some fresh faces. A wide variety of games and game-related paraphernalia for every type of gamer. We also have the Strategicon Flea Market and the Strategicon Game Auction. Here you can find that missing gem for your collection or possibly clear your closet of your surplus games.

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic we request that if at all possible attendees be vaccinated, and that includes children 5 to 11 this show. The state of California and Los Angeles county has dropped the mask mandate and Strategicon has followed suit. However, if either the state or country reinstates the mask mandate we will do so. And, as we have the last three cons, we have an electronic pre-verification system in place for those that pre-reg allowing attendee to skip a pile of paperwork and lines.
