Strategicon hosts its second game convention of 2024 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport the coming Memorial Day weekend, Friday May 24 through Monday May 27.

Would you like to earn a free badge to Gamex 2024?

Well, we have got a deal for you! Strategicon is looking for GMs to run games, and here is the best part, you get to pick the games! If you'd like to run a game please sign up to do so at www.strategicon.net/?run_event. We can only run the games we have volunteers to run! The submission deadline for events is Friday May 5th.

On top of more games, we need volunteers for all sorts of things. Run games, help with Board Game HQ, work the registration desk, whatever — we need people to make a live convention happen. If you want to GM and don’t mind pre-teens in your events, consider running something in the Family Area! We host Kid’s Only and Family events and we are open 9am to 9pm. Here is some of what you can look forward to at Gamex 2024!

Gamex is once again hosting a Catan qualifier tournament for the National Catan Championship. The event starts on Sunday at 1 pm. Participants will play three games and those with the best records will qualify for the Finals on Sunday night. The winner will get an invitation to the National Championship Event usually held at Origins in Columbus Ohio.

Play-to-Win has quite the collection of games we are GIVING AWAY! Join us to learn new games and maybe go home with one! We have scheduled demos of some games, and other games available to check out on your own (we'll help you learn those too!)

For those that like to shop we have over 40 vendors in our dealer room. Many old favorites along with some fresh faces. A wide variety of games and game-related paraphernalia for every type of gamer. We also have the Strategicon Flea Market and the Strategicon Game Auction. Here you can find that missing gem for your collection or possibly clear your closet of your surplus games.

Stay with us at the LAX Hilton! We still have some rooms available for every night of the show. Reservations must be made by Thursday May 9th to get the convention rate.
