Strategicon presents our second show of 2026 — Gamex 2026 at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton over Memorial Day weekend (Friday, May 22nd - Monday, May 25th). Preregistration for the show and events ends by end of day Monday May 18th (PDT), so don't miss out!

Gamex 2026 has sold out the hotel! The show is going to be huge! So huge that we still need a few volunteers for all sorts of things. Run games, help with the family area, work as a gofer, whatever — we need people to make a live convention happen. The Gamex 2026 schedule is packed with more than 800 events — so many events that we cannot possibly list them all here. Highlights include:

The Catan qualifier tournament for the National Catan Championship on Sunday at 10 am.

The 13th Annual Power Grid World Tour returns with a different map for each day of the of the four-day convention. At Gamex we'll traverse South Africa, India, Australia , and the Middle East.

Do you know a lot of useless information?  Do you have friends?  Should you spend a few minutes outside while at Gamex?  If you answered "YES" to any of these questions then come join us for the 3rd Annual Gamex Trivia Night!  On Saturday at 8 PM you and your friends can join us in the Malibu Garden courtyard.  Spend a couple hours answering random questions in seven rounds of trivia hosted by Strategicon's own Trivia Master, Shane Sauby.

Scavenger Hunt? Are you the greatest gumshoe at Gamex 2026? Keep your eyes peeled for things from our list of clues, and submit photos to earn points. Runs both Saturday and Sunday, but you can play on either or both days.

The Good Chaotic LIVE at Gamex Special. An actual-play RPG podcast telling original comedy adventures one roll at a time. Join us as we bring you a bear of a caper with a round of Honey Heist! The fun begins on Saturday at 4 pm.

Game Theater: Building Worlds You Can Walk Into! Step behind the curtain and into the craft of immersive tabletop environment design. In this panel, Rick Ivansek will break down the how and why behind his Game Theater, exploring how lighting, structure, and physical detail transform a game into a lived experience.

We also have a new Game Design Seminar — Design Emotions, Not Mechanics: A New Way to Think About Game Design on Sunday at 1pm.

Paint your minis! Gamex 2026 offers our Paint & Take painting demonstration both Saturday and Sunday — all materials provided. Want to learn to paint great minis in just minutes? Come on by!

We have hundreds of games of all genres — too many to list here. In addition to the above, we also have our Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, Magic: the Gathering, Werewolf, Blood on the Clocktower, Ticket to Ride, Warhammer 40k, BattleTech, Dungeons & Dragons, GURPS, DCC, PFS, CoC, several other TLAs, over 100 different board games, miniatures games, RPGs, our miniature painting contest, and a whole lot more. Over 800 events and more are still being added.

For those that like to shop we have over 40 vendors in our dealer room. Many old favorites along with some fresh faces. A wide variety of games and game-related paraphernalia for every type of gamer. We also have the Strategicon Flea Market and the Strategicon Game Auction. Here you can find that missing gem for your collection or possibly clear your closet of your surplus games.
