[Deptheads] More parking info

Gamex '08 is kind of a done deal. I suggest we look at the bright side
of this. If this had to happen, Gamex is the con to have it happen to.
As Eric pointed out, this puts the Radisson in breach of contract.
Frankly I think we should be thankful. I don't think the Raddison is
viable simply from the standpoint of the rooms. I heard more complaints
about the rooms than anything else. Forget the parking, forget the
layout...if the con attendees won't stay in the hotel, the rest doesn't
matter. We were also screwed by the change of ownership, but the
current situation is our "Get out of Jail Free Card" with the Radisson.
My opinion is we should make the best deal we can for Gamex and plan on
moving Gateway '08.
Lets investigate the other hotels...stay in the rooms, check the dates
and layouts and decide which hotel works. Eric can pick people to
review them. We just need to be systematic and and get it done then we
can decide.
If you want my two sesterces, I say we should look very seriously at the
Sheraton and the Hilton. I would recommend we don't approach the Westin
again any time soon. We will look like beggars with our "hats in our
hands". So for now that leaves the Sheraton and the Hilton. The
Sheraton has the dates free, the rooms are ok and I believe the
"frequent flyer miles" from the Westin work there. Those are two big
points in its favor.
Anyway, like I said...those are my two sesterces.
