[Deptheads] More parking info

Speaking of logic and keeping it real.....
The money the hotel makes from us in a year is what they make off of other conventions in 1 weekend.
We are not raking in so much money for them that they cannot lose us--if we were they would bend over backwards to make us happy.
They obviously could care less about our business.
You do not stay in a buning house but you also do not throw gasoline on it. Plan the move NOW and make the best of it in meantime.
The reality is we are there for 2008 unless someone does magic and pulls a hotel contract out of thier hat and pays for it upfront (with money already invested in rat-isson).
Hotels book holiday weekends for travellers and conventions. Surfing the area I see alot of conventions booked at local hotels in burbank and LAX.
Our current hotel situation blows and they treat us like dirt but we are going to be there in less than a month. Our convention goers will be there.
We have to do damage control to keep attendees happy, pr work to get what we can from hotel, and immediately make valid efforts to relocate the convention by at least next summer at latest (august or february preferable). I repeat- in the meantime we have to keep a positive front to our attendees and move our con. After what I heard about sunday treatment there is nothing more to be said for our present location but 'good ridance", In the meantime.........................
The show must go on................

Logic says do not stay inside a burning house - even its the easier choice.
Intelligent research is showing that a chunk of those attendees who rent hotel rooms have rented rooms at other hotels. In fact, they are choosing to play higher rates just to avoid the Radisson.
And for anyone who missed the delightful Radisson hospitality on Sunday, let me recap. As I pointed out, our efforts provide over $35,000 extra income for this hotel per con. As thanks, the hotel management kicked us from room to room four times on Sunday while we tried to have the meeting about how to make them money. We were treated like vagrants, not customers or business associates.
The reality is you get the treatment that you demand. If you accept being pissed upon, then golden showers is what you get. The most powerful word in the English language is NO.

Tim,
Using logic and intelligent research will only piss off those who are on
a good rant. What are you trying to be the voice of good sense?
