[Deptheads] Contacting a potential Guest of Honor/Special Guests for Conventions

Okay everyone,

I've said this before, but I'm just going to say it again,
while everyone is up on this.

Several of us are willing and able to contact various individuals for the
conventions.  This is great.  We all have contacts and leads in to different
people who would be good the conventions.

However  you should get Eric's approval before contacting *anyone* to be
"Guest of Honor" or "Special Guest" at any convention.

Once you have that, please included Eric Aldrich, Mark Hyman, Robert
Lyonheart, and myself and ANY communication with  these individuals, so
that  "Negotiation" of their appearance and attendance can be worked out
(How many days, how many individuals, travel and hotel arrangements, special
"holiday" days, etc.)  (Either as a CC or a BCC)  We don't necessarily have
to be the ones saying anything, but we do need to be involved in the
negotiation financial and logistical issues.
