We're promising designated Open Gaming space?
Perhaps we should have talked about that more.
Also, whatever happened to the wrestling federation event that Victor set
up? There's no mention in this e-mail.
Also, RPGA has said NOTHING to me about any special Forgotten Realms events.
Perhaps this e-mail needed more vetting before being sent out convention
wide.

over 400 events plus seminars, special guests and tournaments. Games

Historical Miniatures, Fantasy and Science Fiction Miniatures,
Computer and Video Games, Family Games, Traditional Card Games,

HOTEL DEADLINE
You must book your hotel room by August 8th to get the $109 special
convention rate. Call reservations at 1-800-333-3333 and ask for the
convention rate. Parking lot construction hasn't started yet. No, we
don't know when. It was supposed to start in April.
PRE-REGISTRATION
Early bird pre-registration ends July 31st. It's only $35 until. After
that, if you buy your badge before August 22nd, the whole weekend only
costs $40. It's $50 at the door. Also, everyone who pre-registers for
the convention can start signing up for games starting August 16th.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Here is just a sample of the many Special Events that will be
happening at Gateway 2008:
D&D Tournament of Heroes
Play D&D 4e as a gladiator boardgame in a deadly team tournament.
Eight tables of five players each will compete against a brutal arena
of monsters. The team with the most kills wins Great Big Prizes!
8th level pregenerated characters provided.
Historical Games Galore
We will be hosting a War Game Boot Camp and Marathon. Join us for
the "Japan vs. USA Weekend" with Corsairs vs Zeros in Mustangs and
Messerschmitts, and USA Task Force vs. Japan in a large scale General
Quarters event. Don't forget our War College Seminars and War Game
Design Panel!
Video Game Tournaments
Our Guitar Hero and Halo Tournaments have been a smash hit! We are
doing them again with Rock Band "Battle of the Bands", Super Smash
Brothers Brawl Tournament and don't miss Awesomely Bad Movie Night!
RPGA launches Forgotten Realms 4e
Gateway 2008 is the Southern California launch for the worldwide
official Forgotten Realms campaign and new D&D players are extremely
welcome. We will be hosting many 1st level adventures and maybe a
special surprise event!
WAARGH!
We will be hosting Rogue Trader Tournament s for Warhammer 40k and
Fantasy Battle. Check out the new 5th edition 40k demos and join us
for a special Blood Bowl Tournament. Blood Bowl is fantasy football
with elves, orcs and trolls!
A Ballroom full of Boardgames
We will be hosting a Two-player "Euro" Game Fest and Election games in
addition to a huge array of traditional, family and euro boardgames
with dozens of demos of new products.
CCG Tournaments
Join us for our Magic: The Gathering Tournaments, Pokémon Tournament,
Vampire The Eternal Struggle North American Championships mini-
qualifier, World of Warcraft events and the WWE Raw Deal charity event.
Open Gaming
We hear your requests! Gateway will have designated Open Gaming areas
all weekend.
Bring your buddies and your favorite games and we will have a table
for you.
Last, but Not Least
Gateway 2008 continues our tradition of "Paint and Take" with painting
lessons, free miniatures and our Painting Contest.
