WWE Raw deal special event is confirmed for saturday. 
One of the main cogs in the raw deal game passed away from cancer recently and several wrestlers and people in the industry have donated memorabelia and autographs as prizes for this event including an actual wwe championship belt . In the next weeks I will get confirmations of wrestlers attending. Some will not confirm and said they would show up at some point, and a few others I will talk to again at comic con. Basically like the broadside bash except all proceeds (except con entrance) go to a cancer charity. That charity will be confirmed soon and this event/strategicon with be on the charity site, wwe site, and raw deal fans sites. 
I have 2 other large tourney events as well,  and another being worked on that will tie in with the computer room (as I have discussed with Tim) and we will work that out after I get the companies confirmations later this month (and 1 or 2 of them show up). Even V:tes will bring at least 29+  for 4 days of their scheduled events and a national tourney. 
We will have special events in most depts. This is good.
When people surf their favorite game sites and see us hosting a miniature, or collectable mini/card tourney for it then it may offset them not wanting to deal with the parking hell and hotel-ghetto life. And when the site is up and events are up early someone grumbling about the parking may see something listed that makes it worth their time to attend. We need destination events and as early as possible to keep the ship from sinking. People are unhappy with the hotel and the parking hell,  and we will feel the crunch on sunday as some people will not want to deal with it again after going thru it saturday. We draw them in with destination events and have enough other stuff going on to keep them happy the whole day and wanting to come back the next. From the time they walk in and are greeted by the cheerful and lovely faces at registration , to the variety of shopping in the dealers room, to the friendly helpful people at the HQ desks in all depts.
 to flea market deals, seminars, and trying new games. And of course the variety of games scheduled as well as those played on the spur.
This all battles the dark side: bad elevators, no parking, and a staff that makes the bates hotel look like disney land. The attendeee drops off their stuff, drives blocks away, parks, walks back in the sun and is all sweaty and unhappy by the time they get in the hotel and to reg desk to get their badge. The battle to turn that frown upside down begins.
