Ok, if you're doing what I think you're doing, I'm trying to fix.
If you go to the forum before logging into the Strategicon website,
you won't be logged into the forum. We had to disable the forum login
page to stop spammers while still letting anyone view the forum. The
result is, if you try to log into the forum on the forum page you get
a 404 error.
Did I guess right Eric, or did you get a 404 error a different way?
Log into the Strategicon site and you automatically get logged into
the forum, provided the criteria below have been met.
1. You had a forum account before.
2. You had a Strategicon account before.
or
You created a Strategicon account (hopefully with the forum user
name) and told me.
3. Your forum user name was the same as your Strategicon user name.
or
You told me which name you wanted and I changed things accordingly.
There are a number of forum accounts that I couldn't match to a
Strategicon account. When the 404 issues and others are resolved, we
can make a grand announcement.
I've put together a login page for the site, but I'm still trying to
figure out how to get the forum to redirect to it and direct back to
the forum only *after* the login is approved. The forum code is a
pain to mess with. Anyone with experience with this kind of thing
would be a great help.
