I would like to add to Mikes comments. Logistically it would not work to have all the HQ's together. We had problems with RPG being next to BG in the past (confusion to the attendees) and moving them was a great improvement to everyone. As far as space in the ball room... ??????? hmmmmmmm???

I do not feel that this is a good idea, RPG HQ used to be next to BG HQ. I worked to separate the 2 HQs and I feel that it was an improvement. Plus, once we move to the Sheraton, RPG HQ will not even be in the ballroom. Miniatures mostly uses risers, so it will not be easy to "adjust the space to take advantage of empty tables". I understand the idea behind this suggestion, but I didn't think the details will allow it to work the way Tim is thinking it will. Hopefully this will be our last con at the Radisson, so major changes at Orccon will be a lot of work for no permanent gains.

I will have to look at the layouts we have used in the past and I know we have to put the game library and Karl in there somewhere as well. Basically what I want to try is to have Board Games populate from the last ballroom towards the foyer and Miniatures populate the room from the foyer in, with open gaming in between the two.

The alternative to this is to have RPGs and Miniatures HQs directly opposite Board Games and the game library and populating towards each other. Obviously this won't be a true split, Board Games will have a majority of the space. The advantage of this is we can adjust the space to take advantage of empty tables.Mike has asked for a couple of tables by RPG HQ, which we should be able to work out or he can have some space in the foyer if he would rather do that.

>> Note that FoW Tourney and the GW GT's will be in the penthouse and circle drive rooms. I also think we have RPGs and LARPs pretty well placed. Computer/Video games will be in San Jose.
