>From Robyn-
This also was recognized by participants as well as GMs who did not get the dealer dollars to distribute to their demoees. I have since received several inquiries of whether their demos will also receive this support.
>From Janice-
I don't think we should be handing out dealer dollars for demos. That
said, my opinion is that if we have dealer dollars for some demos, we
should have DD for all of them, in all departments, for exactly the
reason Robyn says -- it looks like favoritism if only some demos have
payments.
>From Tim-
I think it is a bad idea to play people to play demo games. If we do the bootcamp correctly, they should be games people want to learn. We can track that with the numbers. If you offer "pay for play" the numbers are of less value.
I agree.
No dealer dollars for demos.
A company or designer providing giveaways for their demo is great.
Companies providing product you can use as prizes or raffle giveaways is great.
Raffle ticket per demo. Use the tickets for a chance at one of several prizes offered.
Raffles work well for wargames bootcamp and video games, and worked great for gayle's survey.
