I was going to bring a display case LARGE 3'x2'x4' with glass shelves, 
lighted and Lockable for the painting contest. We had discussed putting this 
in the Miniatures area (next to the managers table and close to the paint 
and take area) as this would be a lot more visible and relevant to 
miniaturist. Do you (we) still want to do this? I think it would be quite 
nice and bring the painting contest out of the shadows were it seems to be. 
I would also change the timing of the event. It seems sort of silly to have 
a painting contest that is judged at 4pm on Sunday when many people have 
already left, after all the big day is Saturday. Many people like to see who 
has won and if judging is not done until 4pm finished around 5pm and people 
are standing the to pick up figures no one sees them. You also limit the 
entries as those who only have a day or so cant enter.

I would have entries accepted from opening of con on Friday to 10am (or noon 
at the latest) on Sunday, this gives 99% percent of people plenty of time to 
enter their figures. Judging should take place from 10am to 11am, Awards 
given or placed in case with figures then. Viewing of winners from 11am to 
2pm and after 2pm you may pick up you figures.

We will have some additional prizes for the painting contest.
