[Deptheads] LARPS

Our stated policy is:

"No weapons, real or facsimile, are allowed in the hotel. This includes
swordcanes, which are illegal and a felony in california. Weapons that are
purchased in the exhibitor hall
must be wrapped and removed to your room or car immediately."

Nerf guns are not new to our convention. Several larps have used them. I played
in a zombie survival larp some cons back that used nerf guns. No biggie. Bright
orange nerf guns have not been a problem or issue.
There are boardgames and other games that also use fake weapons and foam guns,
and larps also use padded swords and weapons. There are kid's rooms at cons that
have nerf guns for the kids to play with.
I would however suggest that anyone running a larp that uses nerf guns or any
other weapon prop not have boardgaming, collectables, miniatures, exhibitor
hall, rpg/rpga or video game rooms as part of their game.

Someone with a toy gun, video game gun, movie prop, or replica gun that looks
just like a real gun would be against our policy.

Are the NERF guns allowed? Our stated policy on weapons seems to ban even NERF
guns. (This is just from memory, I have not checked the policy recently.)

It would be nice to fill that space with an 'active' LARP.
