[Deptheads] Demographics Sheets

I agree with John, that the descriptions should be there, but realize that this is a major undertaking for board and card games.
I've had a solution to this for several years, but haven't had the time and/or brain power to implement it yet [hint, it's a database interface programming solution].
How many games listed with no description are externally submitted games? i.e. not staff.
If requiring a description for all externally submitted games would help, we can probably implement that.
I would like to add a description field to the sign-up sheet, but I'm not sure if there will be space on the board and card games sheet. Realizing that most games fill less than half the sign-up space, there are some that need all the space, and the next paragraph will explain why going to the back may not be an option.
I'd like to merge the sign-up and winners data sheets. Sign-up on one side, winners data on the other. To make it easier to print, the game data would be on the sign-up side and the winners and other data on the other side. This way the winners side could be printed on the back of any sheet without worrying about the event name matching on both sides. The concern for this plan is how to make it work for payouts and the departments. I'm pretty sure payouts prefers the sheet to be horizontal. Does anyone have an issue with the sign-up sheets running horizontal? I'm asking all depts because I'd like the orientation to be consistent for all sign-up sheets.
On a related note for board and card games, there used to be a binder with a description of each game offered, what happened to it? Not that I've looked for it lately, I barely have time to play anything. It was a decent solution to the issue.

Tournaments need formats and point values (where applicable) and events need to give the reader a sense of what the game is about to spark their interest. We are getting better, but there are almost 150 events (almost 100 in boardgames alone) that have no description.

I only have real sheets from Monday of the con for RPGs, and a blank and the file merge template for boardgames, so bare with me on this.

For RPGs and Miniatures, it seems most events have no winners, but the few that do, need to be handled. How are we handling these events currently? And, this Orccon, we have a LARP tournament, how is that being handled? [I'm referring to our paperwork, not outside sponsorship.]

These are obviously voluntary, but we really should offer specific ways for people to comment on things. The Feedback Forum only works for those who are willing and able to attend. Again, what questions?
