Based on the pile of paper that came home with me.

             Events | Signup & | Signup | Winners
Listed | winner sheets | Only | Only
CCG 74 2 0 7
LARP 20 0 0 0
Minis 39 6 0 0
RPG 196 0 0 7 Those 7 are from RPGA with an electronic copy of all data in the works.
Seminar 19 1 0 9 Those 9 were for the painting contest which I couldn't find an event for.
Video 23 0 0 6
Board ~300 224 35 25 20 of the signups only are DNRs. At least 45 winners sheets were incomplete.
8 uncategorized sheets. That's 292 board game events accounted for.

Are there any sheets out there that I didn't get?

We had 1 Saturday afternoon game that listed 2 of the 3 players as unregistered. This is unacceptable.

I did notice a few things in browsing the signup sheets and the new sheets that will at least benefit boardgames. I got a better feeling for how many games really need demos before main events, and how many games need seriously long signup sheets. And then there's Werewolf.

On the topic of werewolf, we need to provide them with several signup sheets for during the event as there were more games than a single sheet can handle from an attendance view, and the attendees keep changing from game to game.

Almost every event should have a sign-up sheet, and if it's a game, from now on, it must have one. It should list, who signed up hopefully with id, and who played with id. The who played can just be a check box on the signup sheet. Id is required for everyone who plays.

There should be winners sheets for non-tournaments outside of board games. If the game has a winner, there should be a sheet. I know we didn't finalize the sheets before the con, but I was hoping for a bit more. Any suggestions on how to identify a game that doesn't have winners would also be good.

In the interest of getting this info, complete, GMs need to be informed of the required data submission, and one person at each HQ should be collecting and checking this paperwork as a part of their duties.

---------------------------------

We intend to implement consequences for non-conformance. Any volunteer found not to have completed all paperwork assigned to them for a convention be on probation and will have to pay for their badge upon retrieval at the next convention they volunteer for and request reimbursement at the end of the convention. Failure to complete the paperwork for the second convention will mean no reimbursement. Failure for the third convention will revoke event pre-reg. Conversely, successful completion of all paperwork assigned to a volunteer at any convention will mean that they will not have to pay in advance for their badge at the next con they volunteer at; this privilege is always contingent upon the department supervisors not having other issues with the person's performance. Also, reinstatement of event pre-reg status, if applicable.

This procedure will start at Gamex 2012. This is a part of a GM's duty now. Please make this new policy clear. Also, no one will be refused reimbursement at Gamex 2012 for not completing the paperwork, they will just be put on probation for the next convention they work.

---------------------------------

Now, the pile of paper mentioned earlier, along with Gateway 2010 and Gateway 2011 piles have been picked up for processing. Yes, someone volunteered to enter this data.

We are being serious about this. So, everyone, including GMs need to get serious about this.

I'm working with the payouts crew to make sure changes to the sheets we have don't make their life difficult.
I also spoke to board games about what they need to get all the requested data onto the sheets.

I need to know from each department how I can best accommodate your needs in getting the sheets printed with all the data.

Tanya
