[Deptheads] Need volunteer lists for pre reg

Thank you for all your responses.

I'd like to begin with responding to the reason why the average person doesn't keep the con book after the con. I believe it's because there is nothin in it, besides past events. If there was more, then the book would become more valuable.
However, the covers are awesome! I save every con book because of the cover. I also save my badges for the same reason. But I am somewhat of a collector.
In addition, there would be a greater interest in looking inside the book, which would be good for advertising.

Black and white images:

Black and white images are of a lower "production value," however my opinion is that you have to start somewhere.

I can make clear black and white images that will stand out on the page.

I thing the Stratigicon administration should look at this as a section that could get "sponsored" by some company that might want an add on the page because the traffic would be somewhat higher. Once it's sponsored, then the sponsor could pay for the addition of color pages.

I see this going in one of two directions:

1) the image page splits the con book, forcing the reader to open the book and look inside. Preferably the center fold.

2) the image page could be split up and placed in key positions throughout the con book, making the reader that is attracted by the imagery, flip more pages and be exposed to more events listings.

Events Listings:

Having an events listing is very important for me, as a photographer and a gamer, so that I can manage my time and lessen the running around that occurred in previous cons where I attempted to "find" the important events.

If each department could send their most important events I could put together a master schedule of when and where I will be, so that we could all be in the know.

Parking:

Is there any way that I could get a parking pass for the con? I work for a newspaper and there are several things that I need to do during that weekend that will require me to come in and out.

Thanks,

Troy
