[Deptheads] Room Assignments Hilton - Orccon 2014

Hi Tim,
So in reading the replies here about putting RPG on the lower level, and I agree with what you said, we should not be taking anything away from Pathfinder for LARPS, so I wanted to see if all RPG could all be done on the second floor. So I did up a schedule taking all the RPG, LARPS and Pathfinder from the Orccon 2013 event schedule (RPGA is not part of this, the rooms they have look to be more than enough), and was able to put ALL of them on the second floor. I based it on putting two tables in each room (T-1 T-2)(some can hold many more, but two tables was a good starting point, and after two it gets a little loud). For the LARPS I gave each event the full room (two tables) and we still had rooms to spare a lot of the time. Attached are two schedules, one is just the LARPS and Pathfinder, the second is with everything. I did two to point out how often the room are empty if we just put LARPS and Pathfinder up there.

I agree with John as well, we need to start things off at this hotel on a positive note, and that means trying to get everything right the first time. Having played events in lower level at Orgins I can tell you first had (and Eric A. agrees) that it is really really bad, the low ceilings (only 8 feet high) seem to amplify the noise levers, and for RPG games where talking is key, that makes for a really bad Combo.

The attached schedules are by no means perfect, but gives a good idea of what we can put on the second floor.

As always, open to any feed back or ideas.

Thanks
Mike Russell
