I played this and it is awesome. A con is a great place to play it since it works best with main screen (like in a theatre) and it needs to be self contanined so you can communicate back and forth and not be disrupted by outside noise nor disrupt others with your noise. Thumbs up if we can squeeze it in to theatre or even better--the conference room just outside the theatre.

I think I mentioned before that at BGG.con last year, they had an awesome spaceship bridge simulator in one of their rooms. It was a HUGE hit and was busy the whole time. A local gamer (Rusty Howell) approached me to ask about getting this at Strategicon. I told him if he got the stuff together, we could look into the space. He bought the software and got some equipment but he needs more laptops. As I was about to write to the group here, I realized this is really more of a video game (even though the board gamers at BGG were salivating to play it) and it should really fall under Jason's purview or perhaps Nick since it would be best in the theater. Here's a link to it:

This is what Rusty said: The laptops do not need to be powerful, but they do need to be Windows based and have a named video card (e.g. ATI, nVIdia, etc) that is not Intel, created after 2006/2007. Anything like this will have a wifi card and a screen resolution of at least 800x600, so all other requirements are met. The real key here is that the video card support the "Shader 2.0" specification.
Think we can muster some extra laptops to help? This would be really awesome to do in the theater with the projector and it is a lot of fun to watch. Maybe it could take over for some of the fading interest in Rock Band (sorry, Nick - it makes me sad, too...)

This convention, the Video Gaming Room is focusing more heavily on PC gaming, with Minecraft, League of Legends, and Starcraft tournaments along with the usual 360-centric line-up.
