Strategicon Meeting Minutes 21 July 2019



In Attendance: Mike J, Chris C, Brandon.

A. Lunch – I guess Eric hasn’t updated the source for his copy/paste to
brunch yet.



B. Welcome and Announcements – This announcement space intentionally left
blank.



C. Gamex

               1. How'd we do? – 2140, same as last year. Higher attendance
at the door.

               2. What went right – Parking wasn’t completely screwed up.

               3. What went wrong – Phantom of Strategicon tried to drop a
chandelier on RPGers.



D. Gateway

               1. Budget – Have money, please ask. This should be part of
the copypasta.

               2. Special Guests and Events – 2 already up on the website.
Maybe John Wick and Tom Jolly. If you have anyone local that you want, get
info to Victor.

               3. Publicity – If you want to have a targeted ad campaign or
reach out to social media or websites you aren’t plugged into, let Eric
Downing know.

                              a. Marketing Email #1 – Please get something
you want highlighted to Eric Downing so he doesn’t have to make stuff up.

                              b. Art – A flyer was posted in the general
Discord page, use that wherever you think it would be good.

                              c. Shirts – Ordered, some form of blue I
believe.



               4. Department reports

                              RPGs – Maybe having something with local
designer Jason Mills and his recently successful kickstarter.

                              Dealers – Sold out. Send your people to get
their shirts.

                              Board Games - N+Ox10e42

                              Adventurers League – Looking for the epic
game again.

                              Video – Smash Brothers still huge.

                              LARPs – Drawing in from far away, Phantom of
the Con game in the works.

                              Minis – Possible 24 hour flames tournament.



               5. Signage – If you need anything, let Jim and Mike know.



               6. Website – Try out the new stuff and get feedback to Tanya
ASAP. Its easier to fix now.



               7. Parking – Spot Hero gave us codes again.



               8. Rooms – We will sell out.



               9. Hotel Layout Space – Get anything out of the ordinary to
Mike J.



               10. Logistics – Take a good look at your stuff, we are
running out of space in the truck.



               11. Business Cards and Phone Numbers – If you need them, let
Eric A know.



               12. Documentation – Still looking for general list of how
you get your stuff done pre-con from most of you.
