[Deptheads] Department Head/Sr. Volunteer get together

After some issues at Gamex, it would seem that having a little more
familiarity among our staff would be a step in the right direction. It is
in everyone's best interest that people running HQ's know who their
counterparts are and have some sort of dialogue to deal with issues that
may pop up cross-departmentally. At this point we are also beginning to
reach the limits of our space and that may require us to work together to
wedge as many events as possible into every open space.

I would like to organize a mixer of sorts for all members of our volunteer
staff from Sr. Volunteers on up. This informal get together is simply
intended for everyone to get to know each other better, trade contact
information and perhaps collaborate on ideas to act more cooperatively in
the future. We can meet somewhere like Geeky Teas where we can play games,
eat, drink and get to know each other.

I would also like to discuss a short and concise list of best practices for
our HQ volunteers. It would provide contact information for their
supervisor and board members at con who are available to help deal with
strange and awkward situations. Along with this, some basic rules of what
our expectations are for a HQ volunteer, things to look out for and dealing
with our clients. The con is beginning to grow to the point where we are
dealing with a broader variety of people and issues. Some uniformity in our
problem/conflict resolution would probably be in our best interest.

We can discuss a time and location in an attempt to get as many people to
participate as possible.
