[Deptheads] Minutes from Orccon meeting, 01-10-21

[Strategicon Department Heads]

Hey folks,

Here are the minutes from the last meeting. Just a reminder, we are
planning on the typical weekly recap every sunday at noon in discord until
con.

Strategicon Meeting Minutes 10 January 2021

In attendance (all virtual, duh): Eric Aldrich, Brandon Weiss, Chris
Carlson, Chris Jones, Jason DuVall, Jim Sandoval, Jon Merriex, Mike James,
Rob Prag, Tanya Aldrich, Tara Leederman, Will Hillstrom, Shane Sauby, Karla
Freeman, James Freeman, Mickey Tan



A. Welcome and Announcements

               1. Orccon 2021 will be virtual – Maybe Gamex?

               2. Angelica is stepping down effective immediately

B. Orccon

               1. We will be charging $5 for admission – Badges already
paid for will be comped again and theoretically have been migrated already.

               2. Budget – With almost no income for a year, we are po’. We
will be getting zoom again, but money is tight.

               3. Special Guests and Events – If you have any events, get
them to Eric and Tanya so they can be on the website, and Malakai for the
socials.

               4. Marketing

                              a. Marketing Emails #1 and #2

                              b. Art – Should have previews soon

                              c. Shirts will be print to order – Same deal
as last time.

                              d. Social Media – Please get any relevant
info to Malakai so he can spread the word.

               5. Department reports

                              Adventurers League – Warhorn is all set,
awaiting the go on the epic game.

                              PFS – Likely doing a special event for
Starfinder

                              Video Games – Minecraft, Fortnight, and 7
days to die all in the pipeline.

                              LARPS – Events coming,

                              Board Games – Power grid world tour again.

                              Minis – Paint contest again, trying to get
painting tutorials lined up.

               6. Website – Please use it, please test it. Anything you
find needs to go Tanya.

               7. Discord – Largely unchanged. We are going to give people
the ability to change their nick in game (huge benefit to RPG GMs) and
allow GMs to make Push to Talk optional. Any other potential changes can be
discussed at the weekly recaps.

D. Q & A

               1. Next Meeting on Sun 17 January 2021, noon. We will likely
follow the normal pattern of weekly meetings to stay on top of things.

               2. We can discuss stuff as it comes up on Strategicon
