Hi Tanya,
If my department doesn't use the scenario field, does it need to be included?

I started working on the winners list early. Hoping we can resolve some of the issues I’m seeing both on the website and in the paperwork.
Payouts and I need to be able to identify which paper turned in belongs to which listing in the events list. To this end …
1. all Demos, 101s, Playtests, and Prototypes should be classified as such. And please try to remove all references to any Classification in the game system or scenario fields.
2. scenario and classification should be listed on the paperwork. If you don’t want to change your paperwork format, then add them to the end of the title.
3. sponsored refers to any event that offers prize support instead of dealer dollars. These are usually tournaments, but don’t have to be. A demo could be sponsored, if it provides swag to those who attend.
If the con is providing a prize other than dealer dollars, it should be a sponsored tournament. Exceptions should be discussed with the Con Man and Events Coordinator. For the purpose of the Payouts crew, all sponsored tournaments are treated like standard events. The two departments that I know of that have historically offered more prize support than dealer dollars are Collectibles and Video Games.
Oh, winning a raffle ticket does not qualify as a prize, therefore games that award raffle tickets are not sponsored. The event that raffles the prizes provided by sponsors is a sponsored event.
I’m offering to generate a pdf of all your department’s sheets, if you need me to. Printing will still be your responsibility. You will need to submit this request before registration is turned off on con week.
