Gear up for fun and roll out to the Hilton Los Angeles Airport hotel this Memorial Day weekend for Gamex 2017! If you would like to run a game or event at this fine convention, the deadline to submit events is Friday, May 5. Pre-registration for individual events will open the following day.

Ground Control To Hotel Block One

First-block hotel rate for Gamex: $110 per night for single or double occupancy for two double beds or one king bed; $130 for triple occupancy and $150 for quad occupancy. Book here <http://strategicon.net/index.php?goto=venue>. Note the block is all but sold out.

Note: This block is sold as a set of three nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with an optional Monday night (Thursday night is sold out). Never fear; the second block will offer individual nights. The Hilton requires a first night’s deposit, refundable up to 24 hours in advance of the convention. Parking rates at the Hilton: $9 general and $20 for valet per day for convention attendees.

It’s A Small World, After All

There’s nothing minute about our Miniatures lineup for Gamex! In addition to perennial favorites like BattleTech, Star Wars: Armada and X-Wing, we’ll see a terrain building workshop for beginners and the Strategicon debut of the fourth edition of Flames of War, as well as Warlord Games’ new Samurai game Test of Honour and Shadow War: Armageddon, a spiritual successor to Necromunda.

The veteran cast of diverse, seasoned entertainers, nerds and weirdos responsible for Happy Jacks <http://happyjacks.org/> have been combining beer, tabletop RPGs and humor for nearly a decade. They will record (and stream!) a special convention edition of their show on Saturday night. Don’t miss it!
