Friendly reminder: Gamex <http://strategicon.net/> is a mere four weeks away! Make plans now to be at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25, 2018. If you would like to run a game or event at the convention, the deadline for non-Board games submissions is this Friday, May 4. Event pre-registration opens May 5.

More good news: it’s not too late to book your room at the Hilton <http://www.strategicon.net/?venue/>! The convention rate is $139 per night for single or double occupancy. Parking rates at the Hilton: $9 general and $20 valet per day for convention attendees.

Zombielicious!

Would people describe you as a real character? Be one at Gamex! Somewhere between minis and roleplaying, using YOU as a character, the I, Me, My Zombie Mash II blends Savage Worlds’ basic system (with a few guidelines changes) with a beautiful miniature setup from The 5th Terrain <http://www.5thterrain.com/>! This adventure in the spirit of Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland is sure to tickle your funny bone… provided a zombie is not chewing on it. Sunday at 6:00 p.m.

Are You Qualified?

Every year, Catan players from around the country compete in local qualifying tournaments. Gamex will host three games each qualifier on Friday and Saturday with a two game finals on Sunday. The top 8 players from each qualifier will advance to the Finals on Sunday. There is an additional $10 cash fee for this event. The final winner will be sent to the Catan United States Championship (CUSC) at the Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio!

Gamex is also proud to present THE West Coast Qualifier Event for Exodus <https://www.exodus-cards.com/> TCG Worlds 2018! Compete for your chance to win an invitation to the invite-only World Championships in July and influence the storyline with the deck you play. The top 4 Finishers will receive an invitation to compete at Exodus Worlds 2018 in Fresno, CA, regardless of their points this season! Additional prizes include Limited Edition sketch cards and new artist-signed cards; all participants will receive an entry promo card.
