Strategicon presents our third and final game convention of 2023 — Gateway 2023 at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton over Labor Day weekend (Friday, September 1 - Monday, September 4). Preregistration for the show and events ends by end of day Monday August 28, so don't miss out!

We still need volunteers for all sorts of things. Run games, help with the family area, work the registration desk, whatever — we need people to make a live convention happen. If interested in getting in for free in exchange for 8 hours works please sign up at www.strategicon.net/?volunteer.

The Gateway 2023 schedule is packed. So many events that we cannot possibly list them all here. Highlights include:

Are you the best board gamer at Gateway? Can you beat anyone... at everything? If you are, then here is your chance to prove it. Enter THE GAUNTLET! Three rounds. Three different games. Qualifiers will be 4 player games scheduled Friday night and all day Saturday. Sign up for as many as you like. Each event will take ONLY the first four eligible players. The winner from each game will play in the Semifinals and play a different game than the qualifier they won. Those winners will play one final 4-player game on Sunday afternoon, again playing a game that no one has won. After winning three different games we will crown our first winner of THE GAUNTLET!

The Alchemist's Workbench Special Event Escape Room is returning to Gateway! You and a group of four friends team up to use alchemical clues to solve the puzzle. Runs for 90 minutes starting at 9am, 11am, 2pm, and 4pm on Saturday.

The Strategicon Football League (SFL) holds its annual draft Saturday at 3 pm. The season conveniently runs from the end of Gateway until just before Orccon 2024!  

We have video games! In addition to Street Fighter 6 and TMNT Pinball, we will have Baldur's Gate 3, Blood Bowl 3, and Starfield available to play. 

But there's so much more!

Paint your minis! Gateway offers our Paint and Take painting demonstration both Saturday and Sunday -- all materials provided. Want to learn to paint great minis in just minutes? Come on by!

We have hundreds of games of all genres -- too many to list here. In addition to the above, we also have our Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, Magic: the Gathering,  Werewolf, Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Warhammer 40k, Dungeons & Dragons, GURPS, HeroQuest, Battletech, over 100 different board games, miniatures games, RPGs, LARPs, and a whole lot more. We even have Fuzzy Heroes and Clay-O-Rama. Over 600 events and more are still being added. Plus plenty of games of all sorts for sale in our dealer room, flea market, and auction.
