Strategicon presents our third and final game convention of 2024 — Gateway 2024 at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton over Labor Day weekend (Friday, August 30 - Monday, September 2). Preregistration for the show and events ends by end of day Monday August 26 -- just over 4 days away -- so don't miss out!

We still need volunteers for all sorts of things. Run games, help with the family area, work the registration desk, whatever — we need people to make a live convention happen. The Gateway 2024 schedule is packed. Over 800 events! We cannot possibly list them all here. It's an extremely eclectic mix, including:

Join us Sunday at 1 pm for the 1st ever Strategicon Speed Puzzling competition! Teams of 4 will race to assemble a 1,000 piece Ravensburger puzzle as quickly as they can.

Also on Sunday at 10 am we have a new Axis & Allies game, Axis & Allies North Africa. Learn the game and play with one of its designers, Matt Hyra.

Games on Demand presents For the Queen, a card-based story-building game, If you have not played a collaborative role-playing or story game, this is a very accessible place to start, with several 1-hour scheduled sessions throughout the weekend.

The Strategicon Football League (SFL) holds its annual draft Saturday at 3 pm. The season conveniently runs from the end of Gateway until just before Orccon 2025!

Paint your minis! Gateway offers our Paint and Take painting demonstration both Saturday and Sunday -- all materials provided. Want to learn to paint great minis in just minutes? Come on by!

We have hundreds of games of all genres -- too many to list here. In addition to the above, we also have our Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, Magic: the Gathering, One Piece, Lorcana, Werewolf, Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Warhammer 40k, Dungeons & Dragons, GURPS, Pathfinder, Battletech, over 100 different board games, miniatures games, RPGs, LARPs, and a whole lot more. We even have Fuzzy Heroes and Clay-O-Rama. All told over 800 events. Plus plenty of games of all sorts for sale in our dealer room, flea market, and auction.
