[Deptheads] Conbook proof 3

Here is what you said in your first post that I was responding to---
"Judging should take place from 10am to 11am"

This means someone showing up sunday and turing in their entry at 11:15 would be
too late to enter the contest. And they would be unhappy since it states entries
taken until  Noon on our websites (which is the only source of information
before the convention).
We also need to update the painting contest information on the website since it
is not updated from february (like where to turn in entries).

Taking entries friday is a good idea. Just realize staff will have to handle the
contest miniatures each day as they move the case from the foyer to the dealer's
room to lock it down friday and saturday night.
Also a good idea to judge around noon when the entry time closes--Displaying the
awards with the miniatures in the case all day for con goers to see until they
are picked up.
Enhancing the miniature area is a good thing.

Hmmm, I guess people do not really read the post here or think about what is
being said.... There is NOTHING in the change that would affect the planning or
entry of miniatures, those times remain the same, as they have been for years.
the only change is in the time YOU JUDGE IT! If you close entries at noon on
Sunday per your own printed rules why would you WAIT until four to judge them
thus denying convention goers the chance to see who won? Why would you force
people who might have entered not to enter because they have to wait for judging
to get there minis back at 5 or 6 pm?

I planned out the layout for the foyer and it has plenty of space for the case
does not change anything only enhances the look and feel of the area. People
come to that area to see miniatures, that's where they belong. People in the
Paint and Take can then look to get inspiration.

Please don't take offense if I get passionate on my position, that's just
me.....
