Hi everyone,

I spent all day on Discord yesterday! With the help of Marcus, who has
created several discord servers for Anime Expo, he assured me that we would
be able to create one Discord server for Strategicon's links and invites. I
like to think of it as a central hub so that the typical congoer has one
place to access all the information from all the departments. I ended up
making a little test server to see how it would function and it actually
works really well! I'd really like to explore this option during the
meeting today. I know we have all been working on our own things, and we
would still be able to link our own servers if that is how you've been
organizing it.

Here's the link if you'd like to see the Gamex2020 Test I made:
https://discord.gg/RaTxAh4

With the help of William, we put together the departments. I apologize in
advance if any department is missing. I'm still new! I added channels that
everyone should have, like headquarters and daily schedule. There is still
a lot of autonomy and flexibility with how you would like to present your
department. Permissions and roles can also be granted to specific
people, ex: Head of Department, Senior Volunteer, Volunteer. For instance,
I added Tara and Will, and they can only edit under their own department.
In addition, I used Publisher to make a little JPEG with banners of
departments if you'd like to use that for your servers. That way it's still
cohesive and looks like the same branding under Strategicon even when it
pops up as a different server from the central hub. Let me know if you'd
like me to make one for you. I attached images from ING, LARPs, and Party
Games.

Of course, this was just a test and nothing official, but I thought I would
get something together so we can all see it and play around with some
options. See you guys at 12!

Warm Regards,
Angelica
