[Deptheads] Departments that aren't Game Types

Moving this discussion to a new Subject, as it has nothing to do with waitlists.

Your description makes ING a host. Just because some game types are also department hosts does not change the fact ING is not a game type.

As soon as I have the time, I will be adding a Host list to the search criteria. At that point ING, Pathfinder, Adventurers’ League, Family Area, etc will be placed there. These are groups or departments that aren’t game types.

Eric and I have been discussing this on and off. There are plans to explicitly separate game type from host. GM host options will be determined by game type. For example, RPG game type will have the host options of RPGs, Pathfinder, Adventurers’ League, Family Area. Miniatures will have Miniatures and Family Area. Only admins (department heads, etc) will have access to all hosts for the purpose of moving events to a different host department.

That said, ING is a gaming group/department like Pathfinder. If they are to remain the primary at least for this con, I need to figure out how to set the secondary type as the color. Will work on this.
